Birch Line

Archival, from the original drawing

A print showing a reduced three-colour landscape — a thin row of birch trunks standing against a flat field of snow, printed as crisp vertical bands — in bone, Payne's grey and pale sand on matte cotton rag with a wide blank margin and a deckled bottom edge.
