each one
An original hangs in one house. An edition of fifty hangs in fifty, at a price a person can actually pay, and every sheet is pulled from the same screens by the same hands. When the last number goes, the edition closes and the screens are destroyed.

Each colour is pulled by hand on its own screen, so a five-colour print passes the bed five times and every sheet is a little its own. They are printed on mould-made cotton rag with a deckled edge, signed and numbered in pencil in the margin, and posted flat between boards rather than rolled in a tube unless the sheet is too big to lie down.
